Interpretation Function

  1. e-cal Health software is the ONLY software available to Practitioners that analyses metabolic raw data and provides both written and visual interpretations of the client results.
  2. e-cal Health software analyses each of the respiratory parameters used to calculate energy expenditure (EE) and Respiratory Quotient (RQ) and identifies any abnormal readings.n.b.   This unique software function is particularly important for Practitioners to identify false-positive patient results. That is, when a test result is calculated (REE or RQ) but the result is a false representation of the client’s energy status.
  3. For any abnormal metabolic parameter detected, RQE Health software will generate an on-screen questionnaire for the client and the e-cal Operator to complete. This questionnaire is designed to investigate the possible reasons for an abnormal test result.
  4. e-cal Health software generates a written explanation for any abnormal test result with specific recommendations to either manage or further investigate the problem.

Compatibility

  1. The e-cal Health software has been designed to be compatible with the e-cal hardware and other indirect calorimetry systems. The e-cal and other calorimetry hardware systems use operating software that collect, store and present raw metabolic data. e-cal Health software has the ability to be compatible with different operating systems to analyse raw metabolic data and provide intuitive explanations.

  1. e-cal Health software has the ability to produce two different reports written in language suitable for a client or a Health Practitioner.
  2. e-cal Health software provides comprehensive results in a simple, easy to understand format that highlights normal (green colour) and abnormal (red colour) metabolic results.

Statistical Formatting

  1. e-cal Health can provide Operators / Practitioners with a statistical summary of metabolic test results according to location, subject group or time-frame (e.g. 6 months of testing).
